Wait For Jesus, Stop Judging, & Stop Pretending

Month 5 (May 5)

Chapter 13: Wait For Jesus
-we so often get caught up in the world and are not eagerly awaiting the return of our Savior
-we should be desiring the return of Christ more than anything else
-we should be living in a way in which we are keeping the end in mind.

Questions:
Is your greatest hope and longing the return of Christ?
Are you desiring something more than the return of Christ?
Are you living in such a way that glorifies God?

Chapter 14: Stop Judging
-we should not be dealing out our own judgments on people
-the world needs to see true judgement (God's ultimate and final judgement)—not our hypercritical and condemning attitudes.
-we should live by grace and demonstrate it to those around us.

Questions:
Are you judgmental towards people?
Are you compassionate towards people?
How do you interact with people who have different views than you?

Chapter 15: Stop Pretending
-we often pretend that we have everything together when we really don't.
-when we pretend, we lose our influence to speak into others lives
-we also are not letting others speak into our lives.
-we need to be real with each other and share our struggles with each other.
-the gospel allows us to be real.

Questions:
Do you pretend that everything is going well when it really isn't?
During prayer time, are you honest with your struggles?
Are you letting others speak into your life?
